The 2005 Charity Lincolnsure Wolds Run
- Over £8,000 raised

Over three hundred vintage, classic, and modern motorcycles, plus a large contingent of scooters, got behind the Charity Lincolnshire Wolds Run and thanks to their generosity the Lymphoma Association stand to benefit by almost £8,000.
When the riders set of on the 55 mile run Mortons Media Centre car park, the venue for this year’s event, was full to capacity. Enthusiasts had travelled from as far a field as Dumfries, in Scotland down to Essex and Kent in the south, but the furthest travelled award went to local man Brian Lingard, who had flown back from his job in Africa just to take part.

It wasn’t just motorcyclists who contributed either, with many of Mortons staff entering into the spirit of the occasion with an office Slumber Day. The total raised on the day was an amazing £3,846, with donations still being pledged. And the really great news is that Lottery Funding has agreed to match the amount total raised, which should see the grand total top £8,000.
A clearly shocked Julie Wheeler, who organised the run, said, ‘I am truly amazed by people’s generosity, not just that rode but Malc’s friends from both inside and outside of Mortons who all joined in to make the day a success.
The Lymphoma Association was a great comfort to Malc and me when he was diagnosed and this was a very pleasant way of putting something back’.
