PRESS RELEASE
BIKERS BREAK RECORDS AT CHARITY FUNDRAISER
The largest charity motorcycle event of its kind, the well-known ‘Wold’s Run’ which was held on Sunday 30th April, has raised even more money this year for the Lymphoma Association, breaking all previous records.
The money raised is still being counted but it has already incredibly passed the £5700 mark and with £2,000 worth of funding awaited from the Camelot Foundation this is guaranteed to rise. This shows the massive success of this year’s event and the fantastic support that bikers have shown by taking part. With the event growing yearly we can only await for next year’s turn-out
With superb support from BBC Television and Radio alike, a staggering 467 bikers travelled to be at the start line at Mortons Media Group Ltd for 11.00am.
The 55 miles were no small feat for the participants as they headed off in their hundreds, thoroughly enjoying what could only be described as a ‘motorcycle spectacular’, with bikes ranging from pre-war to the modern superbikes of today. As they cruised back into Mortons’ grounds after finishing the run the excitement and energy was apparent.
Julie Wheeler, the organiser of the event along with husband Malc, who is a lymphoma sufferer, said, “I am absolutely thrilled about the turn-out at this year’s run, and the support shown is unbelievable. To raise such a huge amount of money for the Lymphoma Association is fantastic and I thank all of the bikers whole-heartedly for taking part, and all our friends who helped make such a great day possible”.

Rider's Feedback
Hi,
great weekend enjoyed the run.
thanks,
Dan.
see you next year.
Hi there
A big thankyou to everyone for a very pleasant day out. My wife and I were just having a ride out when we came across all the bikes turning off main road in horncastle.
We followed and entered the run! Both of us were on modern machines that day but it was very nice to be part of the days ride.
It was our first time riding with so many others.Great experience and for a very good cause. Now im going to have to find a classic bike as well!!
Kind regards
Dennis and Victoria Robinson
To Malc and Staff
This was my second Wolds Run. Definitely better than last year regarding route markings, etc. Good to see so many different bikes all together on the day. Keep up the good work.

To the Wolds Team:
Thank you all for another superb run/day out. The route, dare I say it, was even better than last year, and the organisation in dealing with the volume of entries, seemed ultra efficient.
Judging by the events' increasing success and support, I think it might be wise to put in my entry for next year now, please!
From the idiot on the 500/4 caught on video through the ford!!
